Apesar de ser considerado um dos mais
brilhantes e conhecidos pintores do século XX, poucos sabem o nome
completo de Picasso. Acredita-se que até o próprio tivesse dificuldade
em decorar o seu nome.
De facto, Pablo Picasso, Nascido em Malaga, Espanha, tinha o
surpreendente nome de Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan
Nepomuceno Maria de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santissima Trinidad Ruiz
y Picasso.
Inicialmente, Picasso assinava as suas
obras com Pablo Ruiz y Picasso, tendo passado a usar apenas Picasso, o
que não se compreende uma vez que um nome tão bonito, que cabe em
qualquer tela com uns 10 metros de cumprimento, deveria ter sido
aproveitado pelo pintor.
O tema Picasso daria para escrever várias resmas de papel sobre os 91
anos que viveu, quase sempre com o pincel na mão. Podiamos falar da sua
obra mais conhecida, o gigantesco Guernica, ou das famosas fases azul e
rosa, das esculturas, do cubismo, etc.
No entanto, vamos apenas falar do tema "retrato" na pintura de Picasso.
Quando comecei os meus primeiros desenhos, quiz inspirar-me no que de
melhor se fez no passado, sendo o livro com obras do Picasso um dos que
primeiro adquiri.
Li o livro com toda a atenção e mostrei-o à minha esposa depois de lhe
dizer que iria fazer um Picasso com um retrato dela. Ela olhou para mim
muito séria, fechou o livro e respondeu, "Gosto muito do Picasso. Todos
querem ter um Picasso, mas ninguém quer aparecer na pintura. E eu não
sou excepção..." Não perceberam, pois não? Eu vou tentar explicar as
doutas palavras da minha esposa.
Uma das frases famosas de Picasso foram ditas a Marie Thérèse Walter.
Reza a lenda que o pintor a encontrou na rua e lhe disse, "Minha menina,
tem um rosto interessante. Quero pintá-la. Sou Picasso".
Desta abordagem pouco ortodoxa resultaram alguns quadros, destacando-se
"Mulher com flor" e "Interior com duas meninas a desenhar". Para quem
tem um rosto interessante, a moça do quadro da "Mulher com flor" ficou
com uma cabeça que mais se parece com um boomerang do que com um rosto
com algum interesse, isto para não falar das mãos delicadas e dos seios
disformes que Marie Thérèse apresenta.
É interessante verificar que no quadro "Interior com duas meninas a
desenhar", uma das meninas esconde a cara para não aparecer no quadro,
parecendo que a outra rapariga foi apanhada desprevenida a dormir.
O que é certo é que Picasso acabou por casar com Marie Thérèse e até
chegaram a ter filhos. Vão-se lá perceber as mulheres...
No entanto, para os auto-retratos, Picasso já não inventava tanto e os
quadros saiam mais parecidos com o estilo clássico, como o mostra o
auto-retrato com paleta. Coincidências...
Outro famoso quadro de Picasso é o retrato de Dora Maar, mais uma mulher
na vida do pintor. Triste sina a desta rapariga que, apesar de ser
fotógrafa, acabou por ficar famosa não pela cara que tinha, mas pela que
lhe foi inventada por um pintor. Não esquecendo de se referir o pormenor
de um olho ser vermelho e o outro verde.
Picasso pintou também vários quadros de mulheres chorando. Não admira...
Se me fizessem um retrato em que eu aparecesse com aquele aspecto,
também chorava.
O Guernica, o mais famoso dos quadros de Picasso, exposto no Museu do
Prado em Madrid, supostamente teve origem num bombardeamento alemão que
ocorreu na cidade de Guernica. No entanto, esta interpretação não
corresponde à verdade. Picasso encontrou um grupo de amigos e disse-lhes
que ía fazer uma pintura em que eles aparecessem no quadro. Todos
imploraram para ele não o fazer. Até o cavalo, que nada entende de
pintura, ficou desesperado ao saber que também ía aparecer na pintura.
Julgo que não será necessário
apresentar mais exemplos para mostrar que as sábias palavras da minha
esposa têm toda a razão de ser: "Todos querem ter um Picasso, mas
ninguém quer aparecer na pintura."
Para dizer a verdade, apesar de este texto ter sido escrito por mim,
acho-o nojento. Eu próprio estou com vontade de me auto-espancar. Se não
fosse eu a escrever este texto, enviava já uma mensagem ao autor a dizer
o que penso de Picasso e principalmente dos disparates que estão
escritos nesta página.

full name of Picasso. It is believed that himself had difficulty to
memorize his name.
Indeed, Pablo Picasso, born in Malaga, Spain, had the surprising name of
Pablo Diego Jose Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno Maria de los
Remedios Cipriano de la Santissima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso.
Initially, Picasso signed their works with Ruiz and Pablo Picasso, then
he began to use only Picasso, which is incomprehensible because a name
so beautiful, that fits in any canvas with a 10-metre-compliance, should
have been exploited by the painter.
The theme Picasso would be enough to write several reams of paper about
the 91 years of his life, almost always with a brush in his hand. We
could speak about his most famous work of art, the gigantic Guernica, or
about the blue and pink phases, sculptures, cubism, etc..
However, we will only speak about the theme "portrait".
When I started drawing, my inspiration was the best drawings of all
times, and a book with the works of Picasso was the first I acquired.
I read the book with all the attention and showed it to my wife after
telling her that I was going to make a Picasso with her picture. She
looked at me very seriously, closed the book and said "I like Picasso a
lot. Everyone wants to have a Picasso, but no one wants to appear in a
Picasso painting. And I am no exception..." You did not understand it,
did you? I will try to explain the wise words of my wife.
One of Picasso's famous phrases was said to Marie Thérèse
Walter. The legend says that the painter found her on the street and
said, "Girl, you have an interesting face. I want to paint you. I am
Picasso. "
From this unorthodox approach resulted some paintings, such as "Women
with flower" and "Interior with two girls drawing". For a girl who has
an interesting face, in the painting "Women with flower" she has a head
that looks more like a boomerang than with a face with some interest,
not to mention the delicate hands and deform breasts.
It is interesting to note that in the painting "Interior with two girls
drawing," one of the girls hide her face so it won't appear in the
drawing, and it looks like the other girl was caught unprepared
sleeping.
What is certain is that Picasso actually married with Marie Thérèse and
had children. Who understands women?...
However, in self-portraits Picasso didn't invent and the paintings were
more alike the classic style as it shows the self-portrait with
palette?. Mere coincidence?
Another famous painting from Picasso is the portrait of
Dora Maar, another woman in the life of the painter. Sad destiny she had
for, despite being photographer, she ended up famous not by the face she
had but by the face that was invented by the painter. Not forgetting to
mention the detail of one eye being red and the other one being green.
Picasso also painted several portraits of women crying. No wonder ... If
somebody painted me a picture in which I appeared with that aspect, I
would also cry.
The Guernica, the most famous painting by Picasso,
exhibited in the Prado Museum in Madrid, was supposedly based in a
German bombing that occurred in the city of Guernica. However, this
interpretation is not true. Picasso found a group of friends and told
them that he was going to make a drawing in which they were going to
appear. Everybody begged him not to do it. Even the horse, that does not
understand painting, became desperate by knowing that was going to
appear on the painting.
I think that it will not be necessary to present more examples to show
that the wise words of my wife were absolutely right : "Everyone wants
to have a Picasso, but no one wants to appear in his paintings".
To tell the truth, in spite of this text being written by me, I find it
disgusting. I myself am willing to self-beat me. If it had not been
written by me, I would immediately send a message to the author saying
what I think about Picasso and especially the nonsense that is written
on this page.
