Biography: ENRICO was born in Parma on the 02/07/1968. Since he was a child, he showed an extraordinary sensitivity and a very strong emotionality, which made him particularly inclined to figurative arts. Nevertheless, his interest in painting remains concealed for several years, during which he studies, first scientific and secondly economic matters. He brilliantly attends the high school at G. Ulivi institute in Parma and after five years, that is in 1992, he graduates in Economics, with full marks, at the University of Parma. At the end of the studies, his need to express the most secret side of his personality becomes stronger. He starts to paint with ever more enthusiasm, deeply convinced to have finally found the right dimension to show his inner emotional world. Determined to completely change his life, by spending all his time in painting, he becomes a member of the “Art and culture” club in Parma, through which he can take part in several collective exhibitions. In 2000 he is awarded the first prize at the painting contest “ EMOTIONS AND COLOURS”, with the painting “The forest”, which is now exhibited inside the Public Library of Langhirano Municipality. To get in touch more often with his customers, ENRICO creates also his web page, which becomes the international window to show almost all his works. By getting in touch with a lot of people, ENRICO widens his range of interest to satisfy his customers, both in Italy and abroad. He then begins to offer, besides the original paintings, also printings and posters, which accurately reproduce his works.

Interview
How did you start in Art? My way hasn't surely been a traditional one, I didn't attend any Academy, nevertheless art has always been part of my life. Since I was a child I have been loving to draw; also my teachers appreciated so much what I did that they often kept my works. In that period, anyway, my language was figurative. [I remember that once the drawings of us children were put up for a charity auction and someone bought one of mine]. Then I really loved to copy the pictures in my school books, even if later I used to personalize them
Who is/was your master? It is really difficult for me to answer this question, since my way of painting was born inside me. People believe that a painter is also an expert that has a deep knowledge of the history of art . I'm not this kind of painter, even if I am very curious and fascinated by art and by the artists, who came before me. I felt a bigger interest in art only when I began to use a well defined language of mine, that is after I made a great number of works. I believe that art in the past was very influenced by the buyer, while today contemporary artists are influenced by the market. My point is that buyer and market are big restrictions. Let's consider the post Counter-Reformation period: in that time works of art had to celebrate and exalt the Church, the only works there were, had a religious theme.
Do you think that training is Important or prefer self-taught? I think that training is not the most important thing.
It is possible to live from Art? Yes, I began to work in a library years ago, but my first aim is to be just a painter. Nevertheless, since I have got three children, I can't leave the job to devote myself only to painting. If I did not have a family, I would have taken this decision already

Work of art that you would like to be the Author and Why My paintings, my poems, my writings because are the things that i feel inside.
Is there a Price for Art? Yes, but not always.
Everything can be art or are there limits? My point is that there are limits. My way of thinking is to paint beauty, to paint because it is beautifull doing it and to paint freely. If all works well the result is art.
