How did you start in Art?
At the age of thirteen I was awarded a place at Moseley School of Art in Birmingham, England
Who is/was your master?
Not wishing to appear to be arrogant but I do not think there was and there certainly isn't is.
Do you think that training is Important or prefer self-taught?
I think art education is important. For example learning about the use of colour, perspective, studying the great masters and their techniques. The use of light, location and learning about human and animal anatomy. Also to instill a sense of purpose and to be aware of other art forms as well and to help the artist to develop self disipline and a curiosity about the world.
It is possible to live from Art?
It is possible but highly improbable.
Transpiration or inspiration?
Both perhaps but why limit it ?
Your 3 Favorite Artists Living and Dead
Caravaggio, Bernini, Picasso.
Work of art that you would like to be the Author and Why
'The Taking of Christ' by Caravaggio for not only the subject matter and the emotion of the scene but the use of light from a number of sources which helps stimulate the whole dramatic effect of the painting.
Is there a Price for Art?
Yes..but not human life. There are many things one may die for but art isn't one of them.
Everything can be art or are there limits?
Yes, there are limits and the serious artist places these upon him or herself.
